Dr Adorini graduated from University of Padova and conducted post-doctoral studies at the Department of Immunology at the University of California and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1987, Dr Adorini became research director of a drug discovery unit at Sandoz in Basel. He joined Roche in 1993 and became Associate Director of Roche Milano Ricerche. At both Roche and Sandoz, Dr Adorini contributed to the development of several drugs and in particular conducted preclinical studies on immunosuppressive and immunoregulatory molecules. Dr Adorini has published over 180 research articles on different aspects of immunoregulation.
